These paintings were created outdoors in collaboration with the elements—rain, snow, and the coastal atmosphere of Northern California. Each piece reflects a moment of direct interplay with the environment, capturing the energy and transformation brought by precipitation.

California's weather patterns embody a precipice, a threshold of profound change. Once marked by prolonged drought and devastating wildfires, the landscape was transformed by a series of atmospheric rivers during the winter of 2022–2023. This shift culminated in the record-breaking storm of November 2024, bringing historic rainfall and underscoring our collective experience of standing on the edge of increasingly extreme and unpredictable weather.
